What We’re Going to Do
More often than not, when kids are asked what they want to be when they grow up, they don’t know their options and end up choosing something they have no passion for OR they don’t pursue their passion because they’ve been told they can’t do that for a living. The Brick Road Project wants to help change that.
For those that are not sure what they want to pursue, we want to expose them to professions that may excite them to pursue a career rather than just keep a job…Find your brick road. For those that have a natural talent or passion for something, we want to give them the encouragement they need to pursue it…Follow your brick road. The Brick Road Project won’t be a cure for the quarter life crisis, but hopefully if we can give kids the exposure and encouragement they need early in life, we can help some avoid it.
How We’re Going To Do It
theBrickRoadProject.com is an online video magazine targeting kids 10 – 18. Here, kids will have access to an online repository of interviews of professionals in a variety of careers. These professionals will provide insight to how they got started, their struggles, successes and where they want to take their career. They’ll also have access to articles, resource guides and features highlighting achievements of other kids focused on pursuing their goals.
